DIgEnSys-Lab is the name of Prof FGL research group (fglongatt-Lab) and also the real-time hardware-in-the-loop laboratory facility built for research. The acronym stands for DIgEnSys-Lab = Digital Energy Systems and Lab, the shortest for Laboratory.
fglongatt-Lab provide state-of-the-art digital real-time simulation facilities to solve the most complex problems in cyber-physical systems
Including Power-HIL and digital protection systems
Digitalization of energy systems imposes many challenges, one of them cyber-security
fglongatt-Lab has the most advanced infrasctructure
fglongatt-Lab is more more than a simulation lab
We are innovating by adding intelegence to the energy systems
Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning to enhance the performance
Multicultural environments are extremely good for innovation, creativity, and I am really fortunate to have young and talented people around me. Today, I have the opportunity to welcome Ashish Shrestha (from Nepal) to the team!!! He will research novel real-time solutions to ensure the security level in power converter-dominated power systems. He will be closely working with a top-quality PhD committee, Prof Marta Molinas and Prof Jose Luis Rueda Torres.
